AJ’s Trading Post

(Ann & John Anderson) – Owners/Operators

The store is located on the north side of Pigeon Lake, at junctions of Highway 778 and 616x. (also known as Sandholm Corner). They are a gas bar and convenience store. They have Tempo Regular Gas and Diesel for your vehicle needs. Their hours of operation are 8am to 7pm – 7 days a week.

They have owned and operated the store since August 2006. This was their first venture operating a convenience store. They have learned many things along the way. They deleted a few things and added some new features. They installed a console in the store were they can activate the diesel and gas fuel pumps instead of manually dispensing the gas and diesel fuel. They also installed a propane exchanger program on 20lb tanks instead of having to dispense propane.

There store also offers a variety of products from some local suppliers. They sell products from A & A Sausage, Wizard Lake Soap & Body Products and a new supplier, Col’s Kitchen Delights from Devon and her specialty is Old Thyme Jam, jellies and pickled products. You can try out the pickled garlic, green tomatoes or the hot & spicy pickled carrots. Some of her jams include banana split, mango, pineapple, and berry patch to name a few and there are also 3 diabetic jams.

The store also includes a Collectors Corner of novelty items from hand painted pictures to antique items. Ann constantly adds new and unique items. For gift ideas check there handmade dish scrubbies, dishcloths, slippers, blankets and other numerous items.

The store includes a great line of groceries, snacks, pop, ice nestle ice cream treats, sunglasses, camping supplies, fishing supplies, live fishing bait and freshly brewed coffee. There are also a variety of automotive oils, fuel additives, fuses and spark plugs for skidoos and quads, jerry cans and accessories.

You can also try your luck with Scratch & Win Lottery Tickets and who knows, you may even purchased the winning Lotto Max or Lotto 649 Ticket.

Hopefully when you are visiting the north side of Pigeon Lake, stop at their store and say hello, don’t forget to temp your taste buds with their soft ice cream.
